The wine

A past as a supermarket manager, Enrico Santini, from Bolgheri, decided at thirty-two years of age to devote himself to viticulture. The area is his, and needs no introduction. It is the land of Sassicaia, the real Italian Bordeaux. Here Enrico planted his first vineyard in 1998 and transformed the garage and the cellar of his house into a wine cellar.

The first production dates back to 1999, in organic vineyards in the southern part of the Tuscan denomination. The awards came early and marked out Enrico as a rising star, the true promise of Bolgheri wine. Poggio al Moro is a Bolgheri that combines the classic Bordeaux blend with a significant portion (30%) of Sangiovese, a sign of verticality and territoriality of the style.

Ruby with purple hues, Poggio al Moro is fresh, fragrant, with beautiful ripe red fruit at the forefront. This refined bouquet is joined by puffs of forest fruit and sweet spices. The same class is manifested in the taste, which is elegantly tannic and has an aristocratic sweet first sensation. Majestic, juicy and concentrated, of great and refined persistence, at the table it pairs well with tasty earthen dishes and stewed lentils. Only for 24 hours
