The wine

A wine with a strong personality, very typical, which will evolve at its best after a year in the bottle. A medium intensity of color is matched by very dense, complex and varied aromas. In the mouth it is broad, enveloping, with great finesse, good structure, balanced acidity, all in a frame of superior elegance. The grapes of this wine grow around the Barthenau estate at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The ideal location of this high hill vineyard, with optimal solar radiation and good aeration, ripens the bunches to perfection. Warm days and cool nights ensure high acidity for the aging of the wine. Only the denomination “Vigna” guarantees in Alto Adige the provenance of a wine from a specific vineyard. Masterful with fish, shellfish, white meats and poultry.

Martin, the great-grandson of the founder who is today at the helm of the Winery, is...
