Cuentaviñas Los Yelsones

The 2020 Los Yelsones is a little oaky (at least when tasted next to the 2021), a powerful Tempranillo from vines planted in 1970 on limestone-rich soils that must have given it the tasty profile, the salty twist in the finish and the chalky texture of the tannins. It matured in 500-liter barrels for 18 months. It has contained ripeness, 14% alcohol and a powerful palate with balance and a persistent finish. 1,962 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2022.
